So you're probably thinking how the heck did I wind up here? I was looking for some silver adhesive and now I'm here on this site with a picture of a guy thinking. Well, slow down cowboy and I'll answer that question for you. The reason you're here is because I'm awesome and I want to tell you how to purchase silver epoxy adhesives. However, before we get to all that you should ask yourself. Do I really need silver epoxy? Do you? How much conductivity do you need? Will nickel epoxy work for you? How can you tell? Ah now you're seeing why you need to come to my blog first. Knew you would, so basically when you're selecting a conductive epoxy. You want to break it down into the key characteristics you're looking for in said adhesive product. Typically when one is looking for an electrically conductive adhesive. One can fall back to the stand characteristics for picking the right one. Those characteristics are listed below:

Price
Conductivity
Cure Time

Price
This is always the biggest deciding factor in any application that I've ever seen. Perhaps you have an applicaiton where you need a highly conductive epoxy however, you need A LOT of it. If you find yourself in that situation you would want to try and use a nickel filled epoxy as nickel is a much  more cost friendly filler. So buying it won't bankrupt you.

Conductivity
How conductive do you need this product to be? If you need maximum continuity of conductivity then bad news for you brother. You're going to want to go with silver epoxy as it will offer the highest conductivity however, if you can get by with slightly less then you want to step yourself into the nickel filled realm. These nickel filled epoxy adhesives offer strong conductivity they also have a high tolerance for temperature change.

Cure Time
The cure time can be optmized with either filler it's just a matter of speaking with the adhesive manufactuer and asking them to change it to suit your needs. If you're dealing with a very low volume then perhaps they won't or if they're major dbags then they certainly won't but there's no harm in asking right?

So when sourcing for adhesives it's best to break it all down first and see what you need most. If you need to have the highest possible conductivity then you're going to have to break down and just buy silver conductive epoxy. It's the highest conductive adhesive there is. I know you're probably seen gold epoxy floating around the internet but trust me it's garbage. It doesn't have the same amount fo conductivity that silver does. Doesn't matter how much gold they throw in there either. Even if it's 95% gold filler in that product it's just not going to yield the same conductivity that silver will. No idea why it just for whatever reason doesn't.
